the solo exhibition of Spanish artist Jose Molina, who has been naturalized in Italy for more than two decades,
from the title
Italy I find you again
. As a “sentimental journey” to places that have left something in the artist’s memory and heart

The artist, best known for being a virtuoso of pencil and drawing with satirical-social intent, experiments here with excellent results with “pure painting” work based on great attention to composition, light and color. Of the project still in progress, it will be possible to admire the first four works, made in large dimensions
With the oil-on-board technique. There will also be unpublished works and the art project
The pillars of power
, where Molina’s “scratch” comes to the fore and where he addresses the theme of power already addressed in some of his previous collections.

Bio

José Molina was born in Madrid in 1965. He currently lives on Lake Como in Gravedona. At the age of eleven he began his training in various art schools, but his first impulses toward painting were evident from the age of four. At the age of eighteen he began working in advertising while completing his studies at the University of Fine Arts in Madrid. Different worlds come to life in José Molina’s art, which the artist brings to life through drawings, paintings, sketches on paper, and colorful graphics. Black and white brought him close to Goya and Salvador Dali’s Surrealism, artists of reference for the development of his very personal post-surrealist style, very close to cinema.

EXHIBITION MILESTONES

Molina has exhibited his works in prestigious institutions: Triennale, Milan; Fondazione Stelline and Fondazione Mudima, Milan; Real Academia de España, Rome; Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Milan; Reggia di Caserta; Museo Civico di Bressanone; Palazzo Ducale di Modena. His works have been exhibited in New York, Miami and Hong Kong, both in private spaces and art fairs.
